Blast in Pakistan’s Balochistan Leaves One Dead

(MENAFN) On Monday, a deadly explosion struck Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province, killing at least one person and injuring 14 others, according to local officials.

The blast occurred in the Chitkan area of Panjgur district, targeting civilians. Security forces quickly sealed off the site and began search and clearance operations, a local police officer told a news agency.

Wazir Ahmed Baloch, medical superintendent of the Teaching Hospital Panjgur, confirmed that the facility received 14 injured individuals along with one deceased.

He noted that five of the wounded were in critical condition and have been transferred to Karachi’s Civil Hospital for advanced care, while the remaining victims are being treated locally.

So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause and nature of the explosion.
